about
Spiros Loukopoulos considers himself an amateur photographer. He was born in Patras, Greece, in 1985. What began as a short two‑week vacation in Copenhagen back in 2015 turned into a permanent stay, where he continues to live and work today.
From a very young age, Spiros studied painting and freehand sketching, beginning with hagiography at the age of nine. Over the years, he has explored a wide range of forms and mediums of expression.
Graffiti was his first real love, with a significant role in his life; for several years, he painted on all kinds of surfaces before eventually settling—at least for now—on photography as his primary means of expression.
That transition took place about fourteen years ago, and his practice continues to evolve. Time will show where it leads.
